Catron County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. We cannot verify custody, arrange a release or bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Direct those questions and requests to the government office or records custodian responsible for the event.

The Sheriff’s published page does not give a dedicated records email, booking desk, jail administrator, current receiving-facility name, jail roster, booking-photo policy, hours for requesting a booking photograph, or local fee schedule. Do not infer one from an outdated directory. A current-custody inquiry should ask whether the Sheriff made the arrest, which facility accepted the person, and which office holds the requested record.
- Booking sheet or booking photograph: start with the Sheriff’s Open Records Request form. Supply the known date, time, address, responding agency, description, case number, and officer, and expressly request the booking sheet and booking photograph. Ask for the actual custodian if a receiving facility holds the photo. The form says the three-day period begins on the first business day after receipt.
- Current custody or release: call the Sheriff at the listed numbers to identify the receiving facility, then use that facility’s official channel if one is provided. No verified Catron public roster or named county-operated adult jail appears in the reviewed official materials.
- Court case or disposition: use the official New Mexico Courts Case Lookup and Search for Your Court service. The court record concerns what happened after booking and does not replace a request for a law-enforcement record.
- State custody after sentencing or supervision: use the New Mexico Corrections Department Offender Search. NMCD states that it does not have jurisdiction over county or city detention facilities.
- Federal or immigration custody: use the official BOP inmate locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator when that system is the relevant custodian.
The New Mexico Attorney General’s IPRA guidance describes an interim response within three business days when records cannot be made available promptly and a response framework of no later than 15 calendar days. Catron has not published a local booking-photo fee or schedule, so ask the custodian for any estimate and delivery method before a request is fulfilled.
